Redford said after the Widnes game that he played Shaul instead of Rankin as "he didn't want to lose him mentally".
Thought it made Shaul sound like a sulky school kid. Not the attitude you need in a team game.

If rankin is leaving I don't see the point continuing to play him as any difference is marginal and we'll be better next year for having shauk in there

Don't believe any of the rubbish surrounding Shaul, would mark a massive turn around seeing as Radford was the one who kept him at the club in the first place. Just more BS.
He's just not getting in. But I agree with JTP that i'd rather we played Shaul, just like I'd rather Naughton or Lancaster play instead of Lineham.

"Be you ever so high, the law is above you" "No one has ever made himself great by showing how small someone else is". - Irvin Himmel Tony, Blacklock, Yeaman, Whiting, Raynor, R. Horne, Brough, Dowes, Swain, Carvell, McMenemy, Kearney, Cooke. Replacements: Thackray, King, Chester, Saxton.
For me the situation with Shaul is a classic example of why we need the "A" team back. It would be absolutely pointless to farm him out to Donny (as I think it is with all players unless on a season long loan while they develop). But a stint in the A team keeping match fitness and within the squad would be perfect and avoid any mental issues he or any other player in his situation may have.
In a near fully fit squad players will always be disappointed not to be playing. Its how they react once in the team in order to keep the shirt that matters.
As for not playing Rankin because he may or may not be here next year is rediculous. He is in the 2015 squad and as such is being paid to play. Not be dropped because he might not be here in 2016.

I know it's only nosey Parker but today he says about us signing both inu and hodges . I reckon it could be true as I was told a while ago we had signed hodges but are announcing it after soo . And maybe we are only signing inu to replace lineham .
