I wish Saturday would get here a bit quicker. I don't know whether I can stand a week of excitement, anxiety and every other emotion. I've read the diary and recalling all those finals and the disappointment of too many and the ecstasy of too few has done my nerves no favours at all. Some great memories in there and lets hope that this week we create the greatest memory of all for us fans and for the boys on the field. Next week's diary could become a collectors' item.

Cheers Wilf. 7th (Hopefully lucky) attempt at Wembley victory for me. I've decided to replace my usual nerves and pessimism at these events with quiet confidence and optimism. At the end of the day I know that if we lose I will feel just as bad whether I'm positive or not so it's time for a different approach. This set of players will give their all and have a real chance. More so than any since 2005. If we lose to a better team on the day then fair enough - I'm familiar with the feeling so it wont be that painful. To win would be my best day ever as a Hull fan so in some ways there's much more to gain than there is to lose. These players can do it and I'm sure will leave nothing out there.

A great and inspirational diary Wilf - it should be compulsory reading for the team before they set out for Wembley, you accurately describe the feelings of what it takes to be an Airlie Bird, what the cup means to us and the journey we undertake, however long or short, in our quest for the cup.
