I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Agree with you.

Kenny-Dowell signing means we have one less quota place to bolster the pack. Trout going to Leigh limits our options further.

A couple of good wins doesn't hide the fact that a massive overhaul of the squad is needed.

There's plenty of time to address this before next season.

Agree to most of this.

Listening to TS in the interviews when asked about the recruitment and interest in players I think he sounds like a Coach that has a plan and know the areas that need addressing and which are the priorities. In regards to interest in players most coaches at this point of silly season would admit to looking at all players that are on the market so no shocks there.

The club and TS have alluded since day one about the need to bring the age of the squad down so I’d doubt SKD will be a real target and TS comments more being respectful to him as a player.
As for Trout, unfortunately we will always be at a disadvantage as club due to geography. Trout could earn say the same amount with Leigh as with us but wouldn’t need to uproot from his home and the commute would be half therefore a more attractive option depending on personal preference.

To be honest Gildart for me is very much in the meh category as was surprised he got an opportunity in Aus.

It’ll take probably 2 off seasons at least to address all the issues but in all honesty think TS has shown already that he is improving the squad with letting Connor go. I’ll admit at times I’ve wondered what was going in but stepping back and looking at things you can see the changes in a relatively short time and with little options for squad changes.

A lot is being made about Rovers and where they are now but most of the ground work was laid by TS of which Peters is benefiting from the hitch he has alluded to himself. Many Leeds fans also attributed the success that McDermot had at Leeds as being down to TS and the foundations he’d set there before leaving for Warrington.

We just need to trust in TS which admittedly is not always so easy to have the patience due to the previous 4-5 seasons.

It’s good to finally hear TS speak positively about Brown.

Hopefully he does have a future with us as when TS was appointed I thought he would be one player that would benefit greatly from being coached by him.

Have to say, I've never looked at Gildart and though 'theres a player'. If he is on marquee money id be shocked, hes not exactly Jai field or Bevan French is he. How good is French by the way, even in the loss he was a rock under the high ball. I'd love him at Hull.

Wouldn't be sad if SKD did join us, wouldn't be too bothered if he didn't.

We are in a hole but there's no better man to sort out the mess that's been created of the last few seasons. He's been given free reign and we need to trust his judgement. He's improved every team he's coached.

There's going to be set backs and we'll be frustrated and disagree with some signings and selections but he needs time.

We have to be patient.

Happy with the 3 extensions, one year too, do they have to work hard to get another year, pleased with the words on Brown too, still think he has a future at Hull and potential to be a good SL player.

Hopefully Ellam is right about SKD and he doesn't cone, good player but the wrong position and we have other priorities.

Cain Robb would be a good signing, good young hooker, not sure if he is OOC though.

Gildart is a good SL player, or at least he was 3 years ago, hardly played in the last two years and not worth big money though.

I find it concerning that we're looking at 35 year old SKD, whilst Rovers are looking at Gildhart and AJ Wallis.
Our other potential target in Trout is now more likely to head to Leigh.
I know we're not to panic or worry yet but early signs are not looking too promising.

As a club we are not pro active enough in the UK based player market.
We tend to rely on agents contacting us about players rather than having some of our own coaching staff looking at players in the lower divisions and in RU as part of their job.
like it or not we are not an attractive club any longer particularly for Lancashie based players,so its important we have our own coaching staff using time to effectively scout for players.

Gildart is a step above what we have as centres and has the advantage of real pace which we all know we desperately need at the club.
Thats why to even think about signing SKD who wouldnt win a footrace with Taylor as a first choice wing is a joke particularly as he would use up a quota space.

What does this even mean? You've got no proof on this unless you are secretly Pearson, Clark or Smith

On Gildart, he's hardly played the last 3 years. Comes across as a bit of a show pony. He had a decent England series in 2018, think Connor outshone him on the opposite side though.

Good luck to him if he goes to Rovers, but he's not a player we need
