WAKEFIELD TRINITY - The PRIDE of Sporting Wakefield

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

Huddersfield tickets : Sat May 22, 2021 7:56 am
Has all the excitement gone before we've even played in front of fans?
Just turned up to join the queue for Huddersfield tickets and there is no queue at all. Walked straight in, got my ticket and walked back out again in 2 minutes. :USTUPID: :(

I think most people are focused on the game tomorrow. More tickets will sell after the game.

I think the experience of this weeks game has shown people that there is plenty of time to purchase a ticket. Shudds away fans are no threat either.

That’s true, they have never travelled well. There’ll be time to pick up tickets.

Yes I tried to buy mine the other day and they had not been released yet.
Will call in on Monday to get mine hopefully having been inspired by a win tomorrow.
Well done to the club for securing an academy place but have to feel sorry for Cas.
If there is ever a rugby town its Cas and I don't understand RFL denying such a hotbed a place.
The RFL really need to support the amateur community clubs to keep the youngsters from drifting away from the game.

Bradford is the one for me. Their academy has been consistently excellent at bringing through young players even through their money troubles and to this day their first team squad has plenty of home grown talent in it. Ebon Scurr for example has most of superleague chasing him. When you think of the Burgesses, Bateman, Whitehead, Trueman, Bentley, all either recent full international or now knocking on the door plus other good standard guys like O’Brien, Wardle, Mellor etc then thats one decision i can’t get my head around.

Good points Sacred.
Who makes these decisions at the RFL.
What happens next to those academies not in the elite?
Are there plans for the next tier down to keep all these kids playing?

Cas haven't brought an academy player through to their first team since Adam Milner...in 2011.

Their academy is a shambles on that metric.

And he’s a Wakefield lad. They’d have no sympathy for us, I’m just happy for us it’s massive for us.
