I'm gutted - it's just not possible for me to get over from Ireland for the match

So I would like all those fortunate enough to be at BV to do this for all the Wakey fans, like myself, who wished they could be there.

I want to hear the loudest, proudest ever rendition of

WE LOVE YOU WAKEFIELD ....

and I promise I will sing along in front of my TV (and as far as the neighbours are concerned as the immortal Fr. Jack Hackett would say - Feck 'em)

Whilst I understand the sentiment about BV possible being quiet, I hope it isn't.

The players are having to put aside their grief and loss and to perform to the best of their ability to honour Leon.

I feel that just as much part of that process is for the fans to give there vocal support to those players and club. I think it is the way that Leon and his parents would expect it to be.

BV will certianly not be quiet tomoz. We need to get behind the lads more than ever.

You know where to find us if you want to be in the middle of it all. Hope we can make as much noise as possible.

What a brilliant post. I too will not be able to get to the match despite trying about 3000 times to rearrange things, but I would love to hear a very loud chorus (or 80) of "we love you wakefield" - just think of how much it would mean to the players. And regardless of scoreboard too - even if we lose 80-0 it should still be belted out from every corner of Belle Vue tomorrow.

So please can someone promise to shout that bit louder just for me, and I'll promise to sing along just as loud when I eventually get to the pub to watch the match and am sat on my own with no-one else in there even knowing what rugby league is. I might look like a nutter but I'll be a damn proud one.
