“In the last six months two other clubs have had to restructure their businesses, introduce new investment from owners and release players to avoid administration. For Bradford to effectively drop off debt as a result of the administration without a points deduction would have significantly impaired the integrity of the competition.

Say's it all really, feel gutted for decent Bulls fans cos this is not over yet.

Sad to see another club in peril but can't pretend I didn't do a small fist-pump when the deduction was announced. Hope they get sorted financially though.

Anything less would have caused a lot of ill feeling from fans of clubs in similar circumstances.

Given the detail provided in the rebuttal statement from the RFL, it seems perfectly just to levy the full 6 point penalty; they had no viable plan to recover the business, they had made no attempt to cut their cloth, they were trying to buy the club with its own money and they were intending to stiff HMRC to the tune of £170k.

I genuinely feel for the Bradford fans, but the best option for them at present is to start again in the lower leagues and rebuild; if they can find a decent, honest owner, the prospects of coming back are much less bleak under P&R.

Sad times for the game, but the RFL has finally done the right thing.

yes so can I, 6 points was the minimum but it does go half way to what we have had to do.

come the end of the season they will be no where near the bottom I can promise you that, then there will be an issue

will the bulls get a new owner, there will be one waiting right now with his cheque

the big question is Bradford back in administration and will their player pool be reduced as was ours

I'm not sure that they ever came out of it. Earlier references regarding the purchase of the club eg the London marketing guy kept saying that he was going to make an offer to the 'administrator'.

they never sold any players the 2 times they have been in administration.........(if indeed they are back in admin)
