It means that whilst you can buy insurance to cover financial issues, you cannot buy your way out of responsibilities for H&S issues which, ultimately, always come back to the directors and can involve fines and / or prison! I'm sure Michael and Chris would love that!

Having discussed this with TRB i now realise just how delicate the current state of play is regarding the negotiations. He has confirmed my info as good but has asked if i don't reveal what i know about this particular option at present and i have happily agreed to that. I do not wish to hurt any chance the club/trust has of getting deal secured or cause any extra stress and difficulties for the people involved. Hopefully the next few weeks will see solid movement and all this can become public knowledge. What i will say to everybody though is that it is broadly positive information and hopefully will see a successful outcome and future for the club. There's a few pieces of a large jigsaw yet to be put together though yet so it's best i keep it to myself. I think my post was born out of sheer frustration and for that i apologise, how it must be for the guys involved in all this god only knows.
