Great to see so many positive comments on him. He was a very handy player to have in our squad.
He always seemed to be improving and started to become a very clever and talented player then he got injured and took two steps back.
Lack of back to back games didn't help him either.

I hope for him, you lot can offer him more games and he can stay injury free. He's still not hit his peak yet. He'll be dangerous when he does.
Underated by a lot in Huddersfield.

He's a known quantity to most of us as he was pretty decent before he left us first time for you. I'd be delighted with him as an impact hooker and relatively content if he was starting hooker, although we'd have gone backwards in that position from last season (although it can't be helped if Moore is going).

Correct so make that 8, be 9 if we do sign Ferguson.

On BBC coverage of the scotland game said that ferguson had said he d re signed for huddersfield , during the commentary can't say am fussed either way as he s a small grafting forward, don't see he's an improvement on what we have

Think this deal was done many weeks ago before the Scott Moore incident. With Scoot Moore in the team it looks an OK signing nothing special but some cover if needed. Over the last two seasons we have been letting in 40 + points per match on average. Now I know we have not finished putting the squad together but Caton Brown, Grix and Wood are not good defenders and will not improve our points against, in fact that are likely to make them worse. I understand that we are not blessed with pots of money and that its hard to get players to agree to come to BV, I am also aware that big money has to be spent on the ground , floodlights etc etc. That said I would not have signed Grix or Wood but would have signed Hampshire, ie one great quality player instead of two average players. You have to ask will Grix and Wood be able to win a game against the non SL teams in the middle 8`s, answer is no. Would Hampshire and the answer is a definite yes. I would also be looking to sign good quality defenders to cover for Ashurst and Kirmond .

He didn't look small against England...he's allegedly 6 foot tall and 16 stone which is about the same size and weight as Anthony Tupou.

Having stood next to him before - I'm pretty sure he's not 6 foot

Give over now Hampshire is nowhere near as good as you make out, give it a rest will you. Your grass is greener obsession is getting really boring, why don't you just support the lads and give them a clean slate.

Nothing I have seen since his academy days suggests Hampshire is this superstar player you have created. I'll tell you something else he's not as naturally talented as Cain Southernwood was and look what happened there.

Tell me this if he's as great as you maintain then why did Wane (a coach you said only last week would be your choice to coach Trinity) binned him off to Cas then Leigh. Then Powell the other coach you regularly cream yourself over decided the only position he could find for him was on the wing despite an injury crisis.

So who's right - Wane and Powell, that he's not that good and thus you must agree with those two great coaches or he's as brilliant as you say which makes them clowns and contradicts your previous opinions - which one is it you can't have both!

Personally I like him and I'd give him a go but only at a rate the club see's fit which on current evidence should be similar to what someone like Finn is on. We owe this lad nothing, he and his dad chose Wigan end of and as far as I'm concerned if he wants to play for us and earn big bucks he has to prove himself first. We owe the likes of Crowther and Batchelor as we did Johnstone and Jowitt but definitely not a players from Wigan's Academy - we are not a local player rescue centre.

You are the first person to question Grix defence. I know he flaps under the high ball and sometimes his decisions are not great but nobody has ever questioned his ability to tackle his heart out.

He's six foot easy, I'm 6'2" and he was not noticeably smaller than me.

But your head is so much bigger so it's not a fair comparison.
