We played at the Shaw Cross gala last year & Orrell St James were a great lot ( they were at belle vue last Monday & were spot on then too ).

Crigg u11's deservedly lost today against lock lane 22-6 . We're struggling at the minute with some bad injuries - 2 out with broken hands, thumbs - 1 out with bruised ribs - 1 out to a suspension from a hearing we didn't know about & 2 more carried off today ! But all that aside , lock lane looked far more up for it today than crigg . Their defence was as solid as a rock and in attack used a couple of players really well . No complaints at all - good set of players / parents too .

can't believe I've left this so late to promote,

tomorrow at college grove there are three Wakefield finals

under 12s
Stanley Rangers v Normy knights
under 13s
Stanley Rangers v Normy knights
under 14s
Stanley Rangers v Walton (i think)

arrived back from the lads game at college grove where Stanley Rangers Under 13s managed to win the spoils over Normy knights by 20 - 6.

playing down hill they took the lead with a great run from our winger and was converted from the side lines, normy then replied fairly quickly close to the sticks to level it at half time.

Stanley had most of the possession in the first half but failed to capitalise on this, come the second half we was under the cuff where the Normy attacking held a good line but they failed to pass.

I had two comments from ladies while they passed me one said loudly while passing 'lets see what poop he writes tonight' and another 'I hope you put up a decent write up' :?
now I'm not a journalist and I going to have Stanley glasses on because my lad plays for them so if you want to post your points to the game come on and do so, it is free

for what its worth Normy team just lack size and aggression which is part of the game, the do hold a good line and in the second half did put up a good passing game but failed to break the through.
rather gripe at me at the match in passing why don't you come on here and promote your own club as you see it like I try to do you just might get them bigger lads in your team

Crigg u11's won away today at East Leeds 26-12 . Not the most outstanding of performances it has to be said - but the team improved as the game went on ,so there's always a positive .
We played on a brand new pitch today - 1st game on it - so the lads have done something historic - in a fashion . Good set of folk over there , nice clubhouse and excellent bacon butties ( ) . Lots of hard works obviously gone into the set up , a few grants - but doesn't look like it's been wasted so good on 'em .

Just read your bit from today Snowie . I don't know you from Adam personally ,but I can't honestly remember anything you've posted on here that hasn't been fair and obviously un-biased to one side or the other . Take no notice - daft sods .

I try to keep a balanced focus but tend to watch my lad positioning through the game even though the ball my be at the other end of the field and I can miss the odd misdemeanor,
what he does in the game matters more to me

no wonder there is a shortage of refs coming through with the amount of abuse they get.
its like a win at all costs even at junior level

I wouldn't mind they have every opportunity to come on here and promote their club

cas panthers u11s went down 28-6 against neighbours locklane, fair play to lock lane they were far hungrier than our kids and deserved their big win.we tried very hard and some of our players ran their blood to water but in the end they had far too many players doing the same.

Well done on winning the cup, I've reffed both your lot and Normanton this year and both clubs are a credit to the Yorkshire Junior and Wakefield ARL.

How did the U14s get on with Walton?

firstly thank you for that, both clubs deserve a lot a credit in producing 4 teams for Stanley and 5 for Normy for the finals, we had to leave early but it wasn't looking good, Stanley was well into the 40s with out a score from Walton
