If it is only £2k, to put it into context comparing what he is probably earning, it isn't a massive difference at all really, and yes that will probably be swallowed up in petrol money.

Is this someone who didn't want to play for us, and he has taken the first contract that came along, especially as this rumour has been going around for months?

The value of signing Scruton and Sammut was really to deprive Bradford during that 2 down season.

It's more likely to be the extra year being offered by Hull KR that will have sealed the deal. At his age which will 32 at the stat of the season, it will probably be his last.

Yes and it worked
Scruton had plenty of decent games for us and we will be doing well to sign anyone as good but, if he didnt want to be at Trinity then it's see ye later.
