I wonder if Manni Hussain`s contacts at WMDC will be feeling a little embarrassed presumably investigations will be made re due diligence etc, maybe Peter Box will have the answers . There seems to be a bit of a theme to this sort of thing I read that the Penny Appeal director is been investigated by the charities commission, I presume that this is the same Penny Appeal that purchased the Thornes Park College site from WMDC. It makes you wonder who are the people who are making the introductions , recommendations etc to the council.
With these revelations about Manni Hussain and penny appeal, and the recent departure from a very lucrative position as council leader, I wonder if the former Council leader is now trying to keep a low profile from some of his previous Council dealings.
I will hold my hand up Wilzay, I think I was one of those you mentioned.
I merely mentioned it back in 2016, when I think MC said around then, that he was always looking at the potential of further investors coming on board, or something like that.
At the time, looking at the 88m Group website, they seemed to have a massive portfolio, covering several industries, and the only thing he didn't have was a pro sports club.
With this, and with the newslink about making so much money before the age of 30, seemed quite a legit possibility.

Funny how people see things differently. When I first started checking him out; his website, social media, companies house, the first thing that came into my head was another other young, Leeds based property developer, who wormed his way into a directorship at Leeds United - Simon Morris. And we all know what happened there.

It surprises me that anyone at Trinity falls for the ‘white knight’ thing anymore. In my time alone we’ve had spearman, Glover and France, not a great list is it.
I don’t know MC and I don’t know how much of his own cash he’s pumped in, a fair bit I suspect. However that’s not what sets him apart. After a shaky start where some hard decision were made his success at Wakefield has been terrific and imo long lasting.
It’s been a mixture of hard work, tightness and truly astute management. This is not a love letter and there are things I would do differently (though not many tbh) but nobody can deny the massive upturn in the club in recent years.
The only thing missing now is luck and the success that usually heralds. He and we deserve it but unfortunately that’s out of all our hands.
Even without lick and trophies I’d still rather be a steady outfit than go back to the bad old days, the ones usually presided over by the Mannies of this world.
