Its like the 2011 season all over again! Hickeys too fat ! Hendersons crap! Blaymires rubish!
The 2012 season as not kicked off and in aroundabout way we have so called supporters slagging off players
just because they have been given a lower squad number than someone else,
How do you think young wood will feel right now reading some of this crap on here before he's pulled on a wakefield shirt,I bet his confidence will be sky high,
Give the lad a chance for christ sake there just numbers after all.

if he has any sense he wouldn't even venture on here ans also he wouldn't make a good player as he will get worse on the pitch

I think you are missing the point mate, high profile footballers have the clout to probably choose their numbers, it does not happen in RL. Also squad numbers are for one season only so your reasoning behind the number 7 is irrelevent also, isnt matty Wildie on a four year deal ? so is he expected to be number 22 for the next four years ?

Cowling is a centre. Slater plays second row. Kay plays stand off.

I am not missing the point, people are over dramatising the whole squad number thing. If people want to look for things that are not there then of course that is their choice. Squad numbers are required by the RFL and each player in the first team squad gets one. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Sam Obst wear number 7 and play a lot at hooker?? He also wore 14 and played in the halves and hooker. Take Rob Burrow the number 7 at Leeds started plenty of games on the bench as the replacement hooker. Delaney wore number 3 played in the second row, while Ablett wore 12 and played in the centre, Sinfield 13 played stand off need I go on. Squad Numbers are just that, squad numbers.

At Charlton in the early 1990s the squad numbers were allocated alphabetically
