A name from the late fifties, Wilf Adams, 6'-4" and around 20 stones. Not the most mobile prop but when he hit them they stayed hit.
There was a story that he went to heath common fair which had a boxing booth in those days. There was a prize for anyone who lasted three rounds with the "Champion", Wilf stepped forward and the "champ" promptly retired, to the derisive jeers of the watching crowd.
