Oh so we should just be quiet and grateful for the crumbs we've been given rather than the plate of biscuits they told us they could deliver instead of pointing out that they have failed to deliver what they proposed, and failed to deliver the significally reduced offering anywhere close to the originally stated timeframe. Got it
Like I've said previously, they live and work in the real world.

You mean they fail to deliver in the real world
The simple point is, they have failed to deliver on what they themselves proposed and assured that they could deliver, and they have failed to deliver the significantly reduced offering anywhere close to timeframe
In the real world, heads would roll for such incompetence
It hasn’t really has it? Rollin shack was supposed fo be a gym and fitness suite with a cafe and meeting area upstairs.
North stand was supposed to be refurbished on its original footprint and not half of it, with food and beverage offerings. The east stand was supposed to have executive suites along its length.
And if we are really being picky, we should have had a new 4 sided ground from first principles. But let’s not let the truth get in the way of a good smokescreen.
Please try and understand, the current board have delivered all that they promised, the previous directors were unable to deliver on their promises mostly due to Yorkcourt, Sir Rodney Walker and last but not least Peter Box and WMDC, some on here have conveniently forgotten the years of deception by the powers that be. The £12 million at the time building work started was worth 30% less than the amount when work should have started 2/3 years earlier but delayed due to Covid. Yes that’s right, we lost around £4 million due to inflation, that’s why some things had to be curtailed. MC and JM have delivered.

It's not a gym because they (and experts they asked) said it wouldn't make money, not because they had to step back. The plans they have now are 10 times better.

Genuine question here. The plans were in phase after the new stand is built to refurb the whole inside of the south east corner. Including gym, locker and showers, classroom and cafe.
If as you say this is no longer happening in favour of something 10 x better then what is happening to the south east corner that’s better?
Genuine question by the way as if the plans on portal have changed I wasn’t aware.
As for the downgrade. We have imo been smacked from all angles but I’m confident the directors have got the absolute best they could do.
After making a lot of cutbacks though on fan zone, north stand backing, doors, east stand side panels I would be so dissapointed to hear that we have cut back and are no longer returbishing the south east corner.

At the last share holders meeting, that question was asked re the Rolling shack. There are still plans/intentions to refurbish the building and renamed Community Hub. Due to discussions between a number of interested parties that will be involved with this project, the shareholders in attendance were asked to keep things confidential until agreement’s finalised. Once the refurbishment is done, it will be an asset for both club and community. I believe PT was in attendance, perhaps he could put a bit more meat on the bone.

Imagine being so delusional that you think getting less than was promised is somehow 10 times better. There are literally no gyms on that side of town, but somehow the board have convinced the gullible fans that the Agbrigg and Sandal are stuffed to the rafters with public gyms and that as a professional sports club they don't have the knowledge base to run a gym...

The difficulty in explaining Trojan is that the plans aren't finalised so I thing JM didn't want to go too far explaining the details given how some jump on every single change as a failure.
I do know that the plans to go with the gym were knocked back because they decided after investigating that the gym would not be a good fit for us as it would be expensive to run, with many competitors near by and no real knowledge of how to run that business.
I didn't write the plans down so don't want to guess and get it wrong but as Dunk said, they've set up some really innovative partnerships to make it an education hub as well as sporting focus....and making it cost effective too.
I'll see if I can find out some details I can share.
I don't get how anyone can complain about the developments at the ground recently. What's been done in the last year alone is clearly a huge step forward and has been done with good intentions. As a fan i'm gratefull for all the improvements the current board have done at Belle View. The only reason to moan is the dire performance on the field.
