We lost ali after 20 minutes not to return plus with everyone fit .
Ok, i dont really want to start a who had worse injuries war/debate but halley came off after 40 mins,
But the replacements that leeds had to cover there injuries far outweigh in quality wise the replacements we had for our injuries, did you have a part-time tradesman making his debut. ?
Anyway onto the game, We gave another spirited display full of desire and will, 1st try leeds put a bomb / cross field kick to halley whilst under pressure he dropped it leeds scored (1 mistake 1 try).
We get a pen martin takes too from the subsequent drop out blaymire ran about 30 metre's to try catch ball he goes running towards it with his hand out and drops it they score (2 mistakes 2 try's), we had numerous efforts held up over the line several times, some poor kicks from martin near there line reduced our chances but a debateable forward pass in the 1st half against gleeson prevented a try for us.
We made several breaks MOST FROM DREW WHO WAS AGAIN FIRST CLASS, DICTATING PLAY, and forwards did well but got abit tired over the end, leeds made 1 break from the scrum end of first half, blanch made two by himself only to be ankle tapped twice.
I'm not going to complain too much about ganson but i know he's been improving his piggy backing technique,
Atkins came on looked fit
, made hard yards made breaks and twwatted a leeds player, shame it wasnt mcguire but any of em will do
Towards the end bibey, wilkes and stosic were off (iirc) which affected go forward, btf we played quite an expansive game from US,
Everyone played well, blake did well although he was put on wing didnt do anything wrong, our young lads did well, grix improving again looking good, blaymire safe as houses bar 1 mistake (but couldnt do much else if im honest)
So dont get downbeat the effort spirit and desire was there and it is my firm belief that if obst had been on the park we would have won that game we had so many chances but couldnt get over the finishing line as it were,
