"In fairness the Wildcats spluttered sporadically. When they were good they were very, very good and when they weren’t - they gave away penalties."

Spot on mate, and that's what made Harris's comments even more laughable. Saying we looked as though we were in for a long hard season and didn't look like we'd create many try scoring opportunities throughout.

Pretty tough when you're missing most of your playmakers, Brough, Rooney, Obst, Leo-Latu and Sculthorpe to name five.

Well done boys, sounded like a top effort and just short of something that any of the above may have been able to offer.

Edited.

Burrow, Senior, Eastwood, Sinfield, Webb all missing, compared to Moore, Rooney, Brough, Obst, Leo-Latu etc. Think the levels of injuries are pretty much equal. We had McGuire (a 6) at 7, Allan (a 13) at 6 and Ablett (Back Row) at centre. Are you proud of your 2 kicked goals?

No doubting that Leeds had some really talented players missing but there's no way the two injury lists are balanced!

Sinfield, Senior, Webb, Burrow, Eastwood (waiting for visa)

Brough, Obst, Rooney, Leo Latu, Moore, Snitch, Petersen, Sculthorpe, Murphy, Winterstein (waiting for visa)

We lost ali after 20 minutes not to return plus with everyone fit murphy wouldn't be in your 17 that's like us listing worrall and ben-jones-bishop.
Both teams had key players missing but still battled well.

I understand what you're saying but in that 20 mins Ali scored your 1st try also we lost Halley during the game too.

Murphy iscrelevant because he would have been a second choice centre or winger and without him we had to promote Blake who isn't even full time.

I could have named Southerwood as missing for the same reason as without Brough, Obst & Rooney Cain Southernwood is our only other halfback, without him we are further weakend.

Just got home from the game...I can't be arsed trawling through the thread but what I will say is that I am reallyproud of the team tonight......the best moment of the game for me is when Leeds bombed a try, Scott Grix found himself locked in the in goal area and did a fantastic job in getting himself out, it was a great piece of skill/strength to go straight over the top of a Leeds player, and weave his way out. I thought that it would lift the team and we could push on....not to be though!

On the whole, plenty of positives for me- just a little tweaking needed.

Good tough effort tonight by your lads.
Whats wrong with obst????
I think both teams did well considering who was missing and whilst you were held up and had a couple of decent try chances we also bombed at least 2.
Overall i think we deserved it although stacks of plus points for you guys good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully a change of luck for you as club.
