All adds to the decision to go with a more robust pitch

I would imagine they would be a better option than Wakefield AFC. Can't see us doing both, even for an hybrid pitch that would probably be pushing it a bit I would have thought

As trinity only have 1 game every 2 week at home (mostly) I think it would work but it would have to be planned effectively.

The issue may be if both football clubs with to train on the pitch. If it’s detrimental to any party it probably won’t work.

This is why I would say the club require a Facilties and Events manager to oversee facility care/ facility and pitch hire and manage schedules etc.

You could also incorporate some other duties such as health and safety processes (procedure writing and reviews relating to business side of operations) and environmental KPI monitoring (to guage and monitor utilities and identify trends and improvements).

Then also a booking/facility administrator to assist with the above.

A team of two would probably suffice or maybe 3.

It could be a dual role in a marketing capacity to contact potential businesses and community establishments to increase events/training opportunities.

I would imagine to maximise the sales and earning potential of this side of the business the club will be recruiting along these lines soon.

Having some experience of the above it’s crucial structure and the correct people are in post to drive growth and success.

It would be both, Wakefield AFC have already confirmed that they will be at BV next season.

Having a professional youth team set up would be great for us, the pitch wouldn't be a problem once it is full established.

York LNER stadium hosts; York FC, York RL and Leeds U23's.

Youth teams 21s/23s dont play that many games over a season probably about 24ish (12home) and will have some games at home stadiums, like Hillsborough in this case

If that’s the case then it would be fantastic to get another part on board. Let’s hope discussions will be ongoing regards this.

I'm loving the thought of new income streams to the club with no dependency on the rugby side of it.
Can only help us long term.

1000%. As I say though it just needs a clear plan and the investment and set up being effective and efficient from the start.

Fail to plan then you plan to fail! The detail in review and potential to adapt is also important.

It has to be done correctly and it will yield great results as time progresses.

What I wouldn’t want to see is current club employees splitting their roles and part timing new responsibilities.

You need new people with the right skill set and experience with a professional demeanour.

The job description needs to be well built to incorporate the facility, business and events side of things.

What you could do it potentially re-structure parts of the business and change structure.

For example the groundsman/team would report to the new facilities and events manager.
The club shop and merchandising could come under the facilities and events department - there could be a marketing and sales officer role or incorporated duties. My minds racing with exciting thought for the club.

It’s really sad I find these things exciting, probably because I am involved in parts that link in.

The success may not be immediate but it could be huge.

In true Mike Carter style,
Which 1st team squad member shall we not resign so that we can pay a Facilities Manager?
Maybe we can let Max or Jordy leave to free up some money!
