Thats the trouble they have not asked anyone. When any trouble flares up who will take the blame? West side for me, always was and always will be, I dont want to see the game from behind the sticks.
All the issues raised on here were raised in the meeting with James. We all agree that the intention is good and that is in the application that we all have 'concerns'.
Whilst we have a voice, we do not control the clubs actions - but we do wish them well is this endeavour.
I also stand in this area - beneath the tea bar - so it will affect me directly!
All I can say they should get a ban from all rugby grounds, If a super league club , football club or any other sport as a home end policy then fans should respect to wishes of the hoste club, if I went with a group of fans to say Cas and they said it is home fans only, I would respect that clubs wishes and not sneak in/force my way in or cry like a baby and demand to go in... Respect each clubs wishes end off...
I have no issue at all with any club making part of their own ground home fans only. But the problem is the western terrace isn't going to be away fans only. So the club can't play the segregation card due to previous problems as they seem to be trying as they aren't actually segrating anyone! All they are doing is shifting the problem elsewhere, hence why I foresee problems.

I don't see massive problems, most of the more vocal and tanked up trin fans will go in the North Stand, leaving the away fans to mix with the decent and pacifist Wakey fans on the West Terrace.

Yeah ok! So no problems to come? This weekend I'll guess we'll have Wakey fans claiming go North! We'll have HKR fans in the North standing claiming we've always stood here. We'll have the majority of HKR fans on the west terrace and Chav corner (one of the more volatile areas) claiming we've always stood here! Not much chance of trouble there. We've got Hull and Cas to come too!

If fans respect the wishes of the club, there will be a great day had.. it's no use saying no swearing, respect match officials etc.. If fans are not going to respect a clubs wishes, after all we are rugby league fans in a family sport, I'm sure the fans will be good..

Laugh away, I reckon maybe a few teething problems as it's first game it's implemented but nothing major.
Think the troublemakers will want to "go north" anyway if it's going to be the kop. The few aging drunkards loitering near the bottle bar aren't going to do much when they are surrounded by a couple of thousand away fans.
In fact they might even be driven into the North Stand anyway, who the hell would want to stand with 1500 East Hull dwellers?

Agreed, i can't envisage any trouble with the fans who stand on the West Terrace, they're pretty mellow and welcoming to away fans. The main issue is H & S. If the home fans are allowed to move between stands freely, how can you possibly ensure that no more than 1,800 (the capacity) are in that stand?
Alot of people are a custom to moving at HT, this could become problematic if say a large group from the North stand wish to move to the West Terrace to see the second half.
It would be alot clearer if the West Terrace was away fans only and less problematic. I wouldn't and i'm sure many others wouldn't like it but it'd be a whole lot easier for the club to police
