As we are heavily involved in a relegation battle, its natural to be interested in the fixtures of the other clubs around us, just as we would be if Trinity were battling for a play off spot and in fairness, the fielding of a weakened side against a title rival would hold just as much interest if we were at the other end of the table.
IF another club gifted any club 2 points, to allow them to secure the title, avoid the drop, win a trophy it would be deemed wrong, whether it was "within the rules" or not.
I do agree that Trinity have sunk like concrete in a swimming pool but, that isn't really the issue.
If we were safe in mid table or, challenging for the title, their (Saints) actions wouldn't be any more "right" than they were yesterday.
Personally, I made a few quid out of it but, again, that isn't the point.
