I am afraid this is in line with a long and depressingly familiar pattern of falling apart under pressure

Things to be positive about as a wakey fan (w/c 31/07/17)

The RFL meeting went well and we're getting a brand new stadium in Wakefield

We got off to a great start in the S8s by beating the lowest ranked team in the competition

None of our players have been suspended for drug use

I though Kyle Wood played well for you. He really tried hard. For an injured Fifita, he sure played many minutes!
Losing to a form team away from home isn't a disgrace, I'm sure you'll grab a couple of wins in the 8.

For me the biggest dissapointnent is that you brought a good following but by the end only very few fans stayed to clap. You're one win away from the top 4 and again have defeated the odds of easily becoming in the top 8.
I thought your players deserved the appreciation.
Saying that I'm sure most of you who went who are reading this are the ones who stayed.

I dont mean this to sound arrogant, but Huddersfield are not a form team, prior to last night, the only wins in the last 5 games were to the bottom two clubs. Huddersfield should have been the easiest game from the whole 8s and the players completely fluffed it. The players deserved absolutely no appreciation, we support effort and we applaud effort win or lose, nothing from their performance showed any desire to win or even compete

Huddersfield played well, and took advantage of a sloppy disjointed performance from Wakefield. Danny Brough is still a real talent and scared our backs pooless with his kicks. As Wakefield fans we know that we should have given them more of a challenge, and should have had more fight in our bellies.

After the first half I speculated that something had happened behind the scenes - either friction in the team, news about our SL status or something along those lines. When I got home I found out about Walker - I hope that was it and it's out of our system now.

Last night reminded me too much of our play-off game v. Catalans, when Brough and a few other members had already booked a trip to LA - we looked like we wanted to lose.

I see this season as something of a replica of last season, have a great season, finish out of the middle 8's, then collapse in the Super 8's, it's a pity because as I say we've had a wonderful season, well above my expectations.

Interesting observation although, at least we had some fans there to start with.
Wakefield were mickey poor last night and if they had played like that all season we would be battling for the wooden spoon with Widnes.
How many were at the game last night, because it looked like the Huddersfield fans couldnt be bothered to turn up at the start, never mind still being there at the end
