2015 - League One : Tue Sep 02, 2014 1:16 pm
I've been asked on Twitter how the lower division works out should the worst happen Sunday. So, here it is.We play 22 League Games (11 Home, 11 Away) and play the nine teams geographically closest to us home and away, and the four furthest once.
So, under the general assumption that York will be promoted, we'd play: Barrow, Coventry, Gateshead, Gloucestershire, Hunslet, North Wales, Oldham, Rochdale and Swinton both at Cougar Park and away from home.
Meaning we'll play Hemel, London Skolars, Oxford and South Wales just once. Two at Cougar Park, the other two away.
Champions go up automatically, second through seventh competite in the play offs.
The fourteen clubs will be joined by the National Conference and RFL Conference Champions for a sixteen team straight knockout tournament which is the Northern Rail Cups replacement.
League One clubs will enter the Challenge Cup in Round Three.
Don't worry though, Donny are going to give Batley a pounding should Fev get the shock win Sunday!
