I have seen sight of information(the validity I don't know) that suggests you cannot contest the decision of the tribunal and this is a agreement by all clubs. This is what I have seen so like I say not sure how true this is, but with that in mind Batley are not going to be relegated I'm pretty sure of that. The play offs will continue. I think the only thing that could happen now is the Cougars reinstated (unlikely) or they get comp. I have also seen sight of something that suggests any legal action against the RFL places the clubs RFL membership in jeopardy so not sure what affect this will have.Genuinely, for a day or two, I actually believed this would be resolved by the RFL pretty quickly without the need for legal action and that common sense would prevail. Sadly, I then hit myself very hard for being such an idiot realising that we are not dealing with an organisation that possesses common sense. I am aghast it's dragged on this long and assume the RFL are digging their heals in. I'm pleased we have been told we have a strong case, but then I've never heard a solicitor say anyone has a weak case! I support the club in having a pop at this, but as this drags on I can only think we will get comp at very best. Hope I'm wrong, but it would be nice resolved one way or another to avoid an unnecessary loss of players.
