I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

i think it is good that the club tell them, but still think people should be told. I don't live in Keighley so couldn't make it but go to every game home and away missed one last season leigh at home and like to know what players we are after etc.

I can only repeat what I said:
Dreamer wrote:
The only thing that isn't stated is the name of the player in question and thats because the club asked that no names be mentioned beyond that room due to the stage that negotiations were at. In hindsight it may have been better had they said nothing, but I think they wanted to give the fans that had bothered to turn up some hope that they were not just sitting on their thumbs over the situation.

I don't like secrecy either, but in this case I think it's justified.

Well, I didn't get to the Q&A session t'other night because I was working - that ok with you, Dreamy???
Only kidding! I can live with a bit of secrecy, Barry knows a tad more than me about the game so I'm sure he's doing good deals.
As long as we get a few good guest real ales, have a good craic and see some good rugby, I'll be happy!

Really disappointed that despite having invited supporters to meetings with the directors, updated web site with loads of info that somone could moan. The meeting was very informative about what was going on in the club and has been relayed back on the website next day. Perhaps you would like to give your details to the club (starting a database for contacts) and they will text you up to date info as it occurs??
They are also on facebook and apparently twitter.

Are you taking the micky, Micky?

Only kidding!

No matter what date the club pick (and plenty of notice was given) there will always be someone who wants to come but can't because of other commitments.

Maybe it would be better for people to suggest alternate methods of communication first rather than just having a go. The current board do seem to genuinely want to get fans opinions which is a step up from where we have been before.

It has to be said it was a better turnout than any that I've been to before.

I think it's great that we have a board and coach that are so willing to engage with the fans. They're willing to listen, they implement some of our ideas. How many other clubs have that?

I know it's not easy for everyone (I myself didn't get home until 10:20 after the meeting and had to be up less than 4 1/2 hours later to get in to work) but I doubt it was 5% of all fans that turned up last night.

I'm not saying that 95% of Keighley fans can't be bothered to make the effort, people work, have parental responsibilities etc, but surely some of them can at least show they care about the club and turn up? It seemed to an awful lot of the same familiar faces turned up on Tuesday, we need more folk there, with new ideas to help make the club even better.

Hey you, it's all your fault for blabbing.

We could have been loyal guardians of "the secret", formed our own sect with mysterious handshakes and everything. This was our big chance and you've blown it!

Rach and Goosey are really mad, they say they will take it in turns to spank you're legs untill you jolly well say sorry

You mentioned it before I did!

But seeing as though it's out I think Jonathan Thurston will do a decent job for us but he'll have a big job filling Danny's boots.

Now, now, stop wriggling. :NAUGHTY: I only mentioned that "we also appear to have an experienced halfback lined up" - you blabbed that you knew who but could not tell.

If rumours regards the Aussies off field antics are true, I'd be worried about what he might fill Danny's boots with.
