The Cougars hosted the 2014 Presentation Night this past Thursday evening and the winners are as follows:

Supporters Player of the Year - Andy Shickell

Coach's Player of the Year - Brendon Rawlins

Player's Player of the Year - Andy Shickell & Danny Jones

Yorkshire Times Player of the Year - James Haley

Big Red Fun Bus Player of the Year - Danny Lawton

Most Improved Player - Danny Lawton

Club Person of the Year - Alan Inman

A1 Statman - Danny Jones

Top Tryscorer Award - Paul White

Under 20's Player of the Year - Liam Darville

Under 20's Player's Player of the Year - Liam Darville

Memorial Trophy - Andy Gabriel

Under 20's Club Person of the Year - Tom Courtney

Ive always been very dubious about the Title Most improved Player of the Year , does it mean they weren't very good and now are Better ?

Know what you mean, but Danny was a worthy winner. IMO he found life hard in the Champ initially, but has taken his chances and has improved major parts of his game. I still have doubts with his defensive ability but he's much improved.

Its something Charlie Jnr said to me around 15 years ago when he won the same award from his Football team , he DID however win the Player of the Year award the next season , so maybe its a GOOD sign .Good Luck with your appeal and hope the outcome is what you want .Charlie .
