Hull City agree to sign Sunderlands Daryl Murphy for 1.5m........failed to score in 27 appearances last season.......Just got to love Phil Browns policy of signing strickers who cant score.

Appartently he can play Left-Mid and according to a few Sunderland fans hes a better Midfielder than Striker.

So fingers crossed he wont be signed as a striker!

there's no point acting like a school kid who's been dumped about tevez, he's gone

- scored some VITAL goals for United in 2 very succesful years
- seemed to think he got a raw deal in terms of starts
- he acted the ar$e a bit in the media a bit back end of the season.
- city were prepared to pay what was wanted for him, and presumably a lot more in wages.

all things considered - he did a good job for united but it's time for him to move on.

united did not value his worth as he or city do.

Do you need midfielders though...they may produce the ammo but who is going to fire it.

Tevez is a great signing for city. He's a mercenary, but then again, they all are to a certain extent - that's part of being a professional. What he is above everythig else, is a bloody hard working mercenary. It'll be interesting to see how he works with Adebayor.

Fascinating to see how city go next year. Is it going too far to say that 5th next season would be a failure?

Let's have a look, shall we? That'll be 266 career appearances and 91 goals.

Let`s have a look a little deeper shall we?......Only 1 season in about 8 or 9,did he score above 14 goals-20 I believe-for Corinthians.

Still no Argentina stats I see?

Not a great record @ West Ham either was it?......seeing as how he saved them single-handedly!

Look,we could go around in circles all night!....He just isn`t worth £35m transfer fee,and the same again in wages.

I am not in the least bit upset that he`s gone.I do however, resent the way the fans were played, the shaking of the head and the subsequent bleatings that have appeared in the press.

We are obviously never going to agree,so vive la difference!

Just ignore him.

Tevez is a fantastic player / signing for City. He won't have been bought for his 20+ goals a season, but instead for his other play.

As a player I didn't want to see him leave, as a person I'm not bothered he's gone.

If City keep going as they are with transfers, I see no reason why they can't knock Arsenal out of the top 4.

Is any player? This is the modern day market, and in fact, City have paid £25million.

I agree. Tevez will be a great signing for city.

city fans on northwest tonight seem to have come up with an original chant for Tevez:

'Carlos Tevez is a blue, he hates munichs.'

Anyone find it strange that Ferguson said £32m for 21 year old Benzema is over-priced, despite having £105m to spend and paying £30m for an older player in Berbatov less than a year ago. Don't suppose he can come out and admit we're not allowed to spend the Ronaldo money though.
