Johnson and Sagna have little between them, both good in posession and suspect without. See above re Agger/Vermaelen, and Mascherano is very much the proverbial water carrier, I don't see what all the fuss is about. I certainly don't think he'd keep Fabregas out, assuming Gerrard is the other CM.

I personally think someone like Mascherano would make a huge difference to Arsenal. They lack a general in the midfield and that 'bite' that sees them lose games they should be winning eg: United away earlier this year. Since losing Vieira and Petit Arsenal have become soft and it costs them big time.

He certainly wouldn't keep Fabregas and Gerrard out of a team but I would love someone like him behind them two to let them have free roles.

At least you don't have a relegation battle on ya hands...then again some blues might be pleased with that. I don't often go to games anymore simply because i'm usually sat next to some clown.

When we drew with Wolves the other week someone said 'I don't mind if we don't win I wouldn't mind a relegation battle like the 90's' What a stoopid comment too make

One guy on one side of my seat is hilarious: he maintains a running commentary throughout games in a quite quietly spoken, very dry voice.

There's an awful lot of clueless idiots at our games these days. The old well at least we turned up and had a go shout is one that gets me. Some Blues will settle for a relegation battle an seein the poop struggle in everything.
