On the prospective citeh signings. I think Tevez is a very good signing. An admired Man United player, title winner, CL winner, picking up Tevez is a big deal for them.
I think Eto'o would be an awesome signing for them. 2 x CL final winning goalscorer, excellent goals/game ratio. IMO that signing would propel them into prominence in the way none of their other signings have come close.
I personally don't think they've got a hope in hell of signing Terry. Unless they really go mental and offer 40m or something, Chelsea won't accept. Unless they offer utterly ridiculous wages, Terry wouldn't go there. I just don't think this will happen. Having said that, if citeh pulled off that move it'd be an even bigger coup than Eto'o. It'd massively strengthen citeh while weakening us. It'd possibly be the beginning of the end of Chelsea as a major force.
On the Chelsea website there are a lot of pi55ed off supporters. They want JT to come out and laugh off the rumours. They think it's a possibility it might happen. IMO he's just doing the sensible thing and keeping his mouth shut so that we might offer him another pay rise. While I think it's just another example of the greed of footballers, I've also got to accept that if anyone has the chance of picking up a few million for nothing more than keeping quiet for a few weeks or months, they'll probably do it.
I think Chelsea should just hold firm, refuse to accept any offer for Terry and let the transfer window close. If citeh offer a crazy 40m bid then I could understand Chelsea accepting, but I'd hope they kept him.
If citeh pick up just Tevez they've had a very good summer. Tevez + either of the other two and they're probably under serious pressure for a top 4 finish. For that reason it might be best for them to just get Tevez and build up a little slower. If they get none then it's a bad summer and they could get a reputation of nearly signings top players like Spurs had.
