Latest rumours.

Melo has signed with Juve. Liverpool interested in Cambiasso and Milan want Fabiano leaving the way clear for Utd to sign Huntelaar.

The best all-round defensive midfielder in the world IMO...can pass, can tackle, can score goals and at 28 years old would be an excellent signing.

I would rather we'd go for somebody younger, more dynamic like Gokhan Inler, he's a top player.

I'd have had that Felipe Melo to replace Alonso.

Think the price for Inler is a bit steep and putting clubs off. I would like Utd to sign Cambiasso.

City need to bring this to a conclusion one way or another this week. It appears that this potential deal has brought our recruitment to a grinding halt. Hughes was spot on when he said we need to conclude our recruitment early in the window, but at this rate we'll still be putting our back four together on the coach to Blackburn.

IMO that is the biggest pile of cack on this site in weeks. And seeing that Enfield Exile's been taking a dump on the site during that time it's really saying something.

Ideally Man City, and every club, would sort the deals out early so that all the players can be settled and proper preparations made for the start of the season. But the transfer system simply doesn't work like that. Most deals are finely balanced with many competing interests.

In response to you saying the deal needs to be done this week I'd just ask if you'd prefer to miss out on a player you wanted to sign because you tried to rush the deal through? Fair enough if that you do want to get deals done quickly, but really you should be joining EE on the short bus to school if you'd lose out on a player by wanting him to sign too quickly.

It's ridiculous to think that the possible move for JT has brought your recruitment to a halt. If that is the case then TBH Man City are utterly ****ed in the long term because your management are not fit for the job. Every club in the world seem to be able to be involved in multiple transfer negotiations at the same time, why can't citeh?

To highlight your lack of thinking I'll ask you this: Citeh are the favourites to sign Tevez, strongly linked with Eto'o and have the fantasy transfer of JT being strongly rumoured right now. You have the choice, sign all three of the players in the week before the first game of the season (if that's allowed - don't know/care when the transfer window is this year) or miss out on all three this week.

I know which one of those you'd choose, and it's not for quick conclusions.

Virtually every single one of your posts is rude, aggressive, anatgonistic and lacking in any kind of humour. I can understand mood swings, where you are sometimes a bit OTT, but in virtually every post you clearly display that you are a tool.

You're weak and pathetic.

Hamsik was also being looked at by Liverpool

Cambiasso would be a fantastic signing to replace Mascherano.

fella, he doesn't just act that way towards City fans, so don't take it personally. He was the same with keithcun, Lenny and others. Just don't respond to any of his posts. I avoided it for months and it wound him up.

p.s. No more criticising Aussie bowlers.

Probably a bitter red decided they weren't worthy of a place.

Just a copy/paste error I think.

Hopefully EE will listen to DD this time and stop talking 5hite. I doubt it though. He has been told before and refused to accept it. Last time he even came out of with 5hite that Chelsea were smaller than West Ham. That was until DD "rescued me" from the mauling that EE thought he was giving me.

DD wrote:
However, it is very much true to say that City's support eclipsed Chelsea's throughout the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

I agree with that. The 70s, 80s and 90s were a very clear decline in Chelsea's gates. A clear example of Citeh's higher gates during that period was when we were both promoted from the second division.

The 70s, 80s and early 90s were really dire for us. Our FA Cup and CWC successes of the early 70s weren't built upon. We ended up screwing up the managerial career of Eddie McReadie over a club car. We had huge debts from the East Stand which nearly bankrupted the club. Batesy bought the club, didn't buy the land and we were faced with being turfed out of the Bridge. Bates had a policy of the supporters having to pay top whack for tickets even if the squad was poor, on the basis of the gate fees paying for players to make us better.

It wasn't until the arrival of Hoddle, and the even more important arrival (and transfer policy change) of Ruud Gullit that the decline was halted.

If someone posts something stupid, I'll say it is stupid. The proposed transfer of John Terry would be the biggest shock of the last few seasons. There's very little reason for that to go through.

I'm aggressive towards you because you talk cack all the time and refuse to accept when you are wrong. You fall back on what you think you've seen a few weeks ago but can't provide any evidence to back things up.
