Citeh following the Madrid way of thinking by signing many forward players but no defenders.
Their defence isnt too good either so Hughes might have to look backwards aswell as forwards.
To repeat just three very basic points that have been made several times already: 1) the transfer window is nowhere near closed.
2) strikers (the plural is deliberate) were an absolute must; we were desperately in need of quality strikers who can score goals regularly at Premier League level. We did not have these before. I cannot, as I said earlier, see all the strikers we currently have on our books staying.
3) Nils Zander is a defender. Gareth Barry can play in defence. With more midfield strength in depth, Zabaleta will be able to move back to play in his normal left back position. Kompany, when fit, can slot in very comfortably into central defence.

City dont really need Tevez to be prolific. The goals are likely to be shared around Robinho, Ireland, Santa Cruz, Tevez etc rather than being dependant on one striker. Goal scoring just isnt likely to be a problem. His value to the team will be in his workrate and the impact he has on the players around him.
And wot he said.
