Citeh following the Madrid way of thinking by signing many forward players but no defenders.

Their defence isnt too good either so Hughes might have to look backwards aswell as forwards.

City dont really need Tevez to be prolific. The goals are likely to be shared around Robinho, Ireland, Santa Cruz, Tevez etc rather than being dependant on one striker. Goal scoring just isnt likely to be a problem. His value to the team will be in his workrate and the impact he has on the players around him.

To repeat just three very basic points that have been made several times already: 1) the transfer window is nowhere near closed.

2) strikers (the plural is deliberate) were an absolute must; we were desperately in need of quality strikers who can score goals regularly at Premier League level. We did not have these before. I cannot, as I said earlier, see all the strikers we currently have on our books staying.

3) Nils Zander is a defender. Gareth Barry can play in defence. With more midfield strength in depth, Zabaleta will be able to move back to play in his normal left back position. Kompany, when fit, can slot in very comfortably into central defence.

And wot he said.

Where did I say he would be more prolific? I havn't mentioned that or argued that point. I was just interested to see how you can claim he won't score many next season.

And,conversely, how can anyone claim he will score a hatful?I guess we`ll see!Out of curiosity what is his goals/game ratio for Argentina?,seeing as his scoring record was brought up.

PS.Hilda would`ve stuck those tap-ins away v Stoke,WBA? and perhaps got equally as lucky v Wigan.Anyone remember the numerous chances missed in the Champions league final v Chelsea?

£35 mill,plus similar in wages?No thanks.Fergie was spot on.

They can't. But the facts of his career thus far are more indicative of that than your claim.

Fergie was spot on? eventhough he agreed the £25 million asking price and offered Tevez a five year contract that he turned down, how can Fergie be spot on. Tevez walked away, not United sending him packing.

I never claimed he would score a hat full, I just wanted to know how you know he won't score many next season. You are still missing the point.

Therefore, that would beg the question-why did Tevez choose to leave the World Champions and Premier League Champions to go to Manchester City?Given that,he stated today that he wouldn`t sign for/respect a coach who guaranteed him a starting place? For the "PROJECT"?.

Wasn`t the problem that he didn`t get a regular starting place?Blah,blah,etc......Answers on the back of a tenner please.

Yep.Instead of providing a snippet, why not provide his entire goals/game ratio throughout his career?I see you haven`t produced his Argentina record yet?
