Because I've just been reading it elsewhere, if you could start a franchise which 3 players from offence and 3 players from defence would you take to the franchise with you?

I'd go:
Tom Brady
Joe Thomas
Nick Mangold

Haloti Ngata
Vince Wilfork

Why would you take Brady? He's not gunna be around much longer

Offense: Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, Joe Thomas

Defense: Ndamakong(sp) Suh, James Laurinaitis, Ed Reed

Because even though he's knocking on a bit now you'll still get 5-6 years out of him and it gives you the chance to win now then get his replacement in advance ala Favre/Rodgers...and if you're starting a franchise you need someone marketable as the face of it.

2nd choice at QB would have been Rivers though.

I can't see Brady going on for another 5 years. 3 at the most in my opinion. If you have a new team you want a QB for the next 10 years. Rodgers provides that and Brady doesn't. Don't understand why you would look for 2 franchise QB's so quickly.

Exactly. Ben us as good as there is back there.

I can't wait. I think the Steelers will edge it but am rooting for Matthews and the Packers.

I think the Packers are the better team but the Steelers have more experience of the occasion. Think it goes right down to the wire until the Packers pull it out. 20-17 with Woodson or Raji as the MVP.

I really think the steelers defence will hold their own and if the packers want to win the game,then they will have to stop the offence.They have to stop Big Ben getting good ball to Mendenhall otherwise it could be a long night for the Packers.Anyway Steelers to edge it 27-19.

Anybody watch the BBC NFL special? Just watched it here on the Iplayer. Not a bad way to waste half an hour if your bored. Apparently the beebs lineup is going to be Jake Humphries, Mike Carlson and Osi Umenyiora. Gunna be a tricky one to choose between Sky and the BBC. Sky going with Cadle, Martin and Schroeder in the studio and Halling, Gayle and Reinebold in Dallas. Why can't Reinebold be doing the BBC coverage? Would make the decision a lot easier! Feel a bit sorry for Van Pelt. Yeah he wasn't great to start with but I thought he had picked up a little in the last couple of weeks.
