the heavyweight division is garbage other than the klitchkos, thats why haye stepped up in weight and got as far as he did, but like all the rest that failed to beat wlad he was the same and came up way short.

This week: Four keys to a Rhinos win in the WCC

Re: Boxing Round 2 : Mon Jul 04, 2011 12:23 pm
Well there you go, Haye gets exposed as a one-dimensional bag of wind after all.

Plenty of talk, lots of excuses, nothing to back it up.

Time for him to slink away into the shadows with his "legacy" and a nice fat wallet built off the back of the fans fooled by his hype machine.

At least Frank Bruno had a go against Tyson and looked like he may just pull off a shock win. Haye surrendered at the first bell like a French general.

:thumb: Cheers mate, I'm glad someone agrees on it because I was starting to lose faith. Glad I could save you some time on the posting too  it's nice to see someone else can see the contest for what it was, as always Brits love to criticise. Most would've been gutted if Haye won as they'd not be able to knock him. Good, honest, interview with Haye on Sky Sports News today.

I know, a record that includes two defeats is appalling, shame on Haye for even turning up eh

Ironic that Haye kept making reference to the standard of fighters the Klitschkos are supposed to have hand picked to pad their records. Who's on Haye's list again, Mormeck apart?

And please don't give me the circus freak Valuev as an example.

Put under pressure to perform, Haye fell apart like a wet newspaper.

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

Re: Boxing Round 2 : Mon Jul 04, 2011 1:18 pm
I think that it should make us appreciate how luck we are to have had 5 world champions at once. Our boxers (Froch especially) do not get enough credit for the level they are operating at.
Haye was giving away 4 inches and 2 stone, against a very good boxer who defends with his whole body and is very light on his feet.
Haye attracts the criticism because he runs his mouth a lot and is rightly being criticised for his out of the ring actions before and after the fight. But at the end of the day he did shake up the HW division, became world champion and came up short. I don't think he did fall apart as such, just didn't have the keys to unlock that defence. Plus he was fighting with a broken toe, which whilst I'm annoyed he blamed, can't have helped the situation.

Kimbo Slice makes his boxing debut in August I think, he will have the Klitschko's... as long as the fight is bare knuckle and in a back yard in Miami.

I don't agree, he didn't fall apart, he was beaten by a better boxer - someone that most fighters have gone up against and came out with the same result.

You have to include Valuev, circus freak or not he was the champion and Haye had to put a good 12 round shift in to beat him so it wouldn't be far to not count him. Since moving up he's taken on and beat McCarinelli, Monte Barrat, Valuev, John Ruiz and Harrison. Whether you regard that opposition or not, the same can be said about Klitschko he hasn't fought much either but you have to respect, like Haye, the Klitschko's have done the job.

Hasn't MacKenzie accused him of taking drugs because no one should've been able to get up off them punches  to be fair they were some cracking shots, I enjoyed the last fight and although Bellew's from round my way and an Evertonian I wouldn't MacKenzie putting one on him again.

Murray v Mitchell been out back to 16th July hasn't it? Mitchell has a virus, going to be in Liverpool instead.
