Like I said, Freeman was never going to get picked up off trades by anyone this season anyway so we would have had to pay the rest of his contract either way. At least this way the main distraction in the locker room has gone. According to sources the players were behind Schiano when he benched Freeman. He must have been doing something wrong if he's picked up $35k in fines since the start of the season.
As a Bucs fan I am well aware of the sometimes amateur way our organization is run, but in this case the problem is 1 of 2 people. At this moment in time I'm still behind the coach and will stay that way until the end of this year. If there continues to be more drama then obviously he isn't up for the job but I am fairly certain things will start to calm down now and we can get on with football.
