Bad move for Laurent. He seemed to have a good club career going for himself, why would he just get out of the club scene so early? I don't mind managers who start at international football or step into international football towards the end of their careers, but he was getting quite a rep for himself depite Bordeaux's implosion.

More money less work would be my guess. International jobs must be extremely cushy, you get free entry to any game you like, work a lot less hours while getting, in most cases, a pay rise.

Lyon and Marseille tipped to spend heavily in the summer. Maybe he thought this was the perfect time to make a move.
Will be interesting to see how this affects France in the world cup.

But surely he wasn't short of offers from some top clubs?

I would have thought sides like Juve, Inter, AC and maybe even Citeh would have been after his signature.

Mourinho will go to Real Madrid (funnily enough, Blanc has been linked there as well).

I'm unsure about Juve getting Delneri. I thought they were still in for Rafa?

England have more chance of winning this year's World Cup than they do of hosting the 2018 one.

What a complete and utter disaster.

Read a survey in a French paper the other week, apparently only 23% of the people surveyed thought France would make it through the group stage!

There's not exactly much confidence in the guy, it's amazing he's lasted this long.
