For the neutral it was probably quite boring, but I've been a fan of Groves for quite a while now, and I thought he put on a very good display. DeGale is not all that special, IMO Paul Smith was one of the poorest British champions out there when DeGale beat him, I think Groves would take Smith out in similar fashion. Groves was poor against Anderson, but had been very impressive prior to that fight, but the media obviously hadn't done their homework and just looked at the Anderson and Smith fights respectively and jizzed all over DeGale.
Hopefully Groves will get a bit more credit now, I don't think he ran, he out manouvered DeGale for the first half of the fight, and landed more punches, with better accuracy. DeGale probably put in the more stinging shots, but he looked confused and gun shy for a lot of the fight. I'd like to see DeGale in there with Anderson next...
