Would certainly make El Classic even more appetising. I can only see Madrid and Barça losing two games; Barça v Madrid in a fortnight and when they meet in the Champions League final.

El Real have to go to San Mamés on May 1 and (with blinkers on, admittedly) I fancy Athletic to get something out of that. Málaga at Camp Nou probably Barca's trickiest other game, but I'd still expect them to win it.

Did you see Falcao's goal against Hannover? Such a class player.

I actually think Bayern might beat Madrid at the Allianz, but I can see it being 3-2.

I'd nothing better than for Athleti to hand them their arses at a packed 'Catedral', but I just can't see it. It would be hilarious to see Madrid get something form the game at the Camp Nou only to lose at San Mamés.

Falcao should be playing Champions League soccer (from a selfish point of view, Asim). After the group stages I fancied Bayern as the team to prevent a La Lliga final but I don't think they've got enough to get past Madrid over two legs.

Seen him in the flesh six times this season, and every time I have come away thinking he doesn't do enough outside the box to make it at a really top club, though he can be undoubtedly brilliant when it comes to finishing.

From the teams who could afford him the Manchester clubs and Chelsea could be out because of his complicated third party ownership situation, and I don't think he's good enough for Madrid or Barcelona.

Do you not think any of the Italian clubs would go for him, Asim? Think he'd suit Juve superbly, whilst Forlan has hardly set Inter alight so they could be in for another striker. Whether they could afford/would be willing to part with £40m though, I'm not sure.

I guess the 3 options in Italy are Juve and the Milan clubs, Milan seem well stocked up front - if Inter don't make the CL then they might not have/want to spend the sort of money needed and it might be of no benefit of Falcao to go there (though no doubt Jorge Mendes would like another cut), I honestly don't know too much about Juve's squad or finances at the moment.

Well Matri is a good player but he's no Trezegoal. I think Juve will probably be in the market for a Del Piero replacement which may rule Falcao out. They're constantly linked to Suarez of late, he'd be a class replacement for Alex, hope it's just paper tat.

UEFA shambles continues. Wenger fined £40k for complaining about match officials, Porto fined £16.7k for racist abuse towards Balotelli. Latest update, City fined £10k more than Porto for arriving onto the pitch a minute late.
