It bemuses me how some people go on about him. Every time I watch him play, he just looks like a plodder. Agree about Holden, really like him.

How much did Spurs have a bid accepted for in January? If we paid £10m for a player who has 12 months left on his deal, plays in a league below us and was only valued at about £7m by us in January, it shows absolute desperation and an inability to find an alternative.

Adam's a decent player, whether we need him after signing Henderson is questionable, especially for £10m, that would be as mad as our other fees spent on British players recently.

Why? Canales has always struck me as a 'hole' player, someone who plays off the forward. With Everton having Cahill, he'd be better off staying in la liga and getting consistent minutes in a league that suits his game.

We won't see as much of Cahill next season I don't think. His foot injury is really taking its toll on him now and by all accounts it is really hard to recover fully from.
