Not really, I've read similar stuff for years on Gerrard. The key line in that entire piece is the very last line, and it sort of makes Wilson's piece pointless.
Gerrard, as we all know, is a fantastic player who's matured into an outstanding attacking midfielder over the years. The absences of Lucas and Daniel Agger have been far more detrimental to our form than the return of Gerrard. For me, we should have done with Gerrard what Roma done with Totti, moved him further and further up field as his legs begin to go. Rafa used to play him exclusively as an attacking midfielder behind Torres, he should never have been brought back into the midfield. However, the problem for me still remains the other players, when you watch us play, Gerrard isn't playing poorly, but Henderson is, Adam was and the defence remains a shambles. I don't think our form and current performances are a true reflection of our side, but they are a reflection of the majority of our 2011 signings, that, to be frank, are embarrassing.

I would love to hear your opinion on Jay Spearing Roddy? What does he bring to Liverpool?
Jay's an overachiever. He's small, not very quick and not that strong, but he gets in the team through effort and training. Believe it or not, he started out as a centre half, then moved to right back, then attacking midfield, then defensive midfield. He's been at the club for years and we could have shipped him out at any point, but he's earned his place at the club. For me, he's an average player who can get by with decent players around him. I think some people just dismiss him without actually watching him play, he can pass it about quite a bit and he's industrious, but his lack of physical/athletic attributes will always hold him back. He's done a better job in midfield than Henderson this season. He's similar to Tony Hibbert at Everton, he isn't a shining light but he's earned his place at your club for years.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's brave based on any ground-breaking conclusions or evidence he's come up with, more that he's willing to publish something like that online given the vitriol that usually comes when anyone writes anything that might not be seen as favourable about one of Liverpool FC's favoured sons.
Maybe he's done well to sneak it out while the Davies non-story is still ongoing.
