Expecting ALL shots that hit the legs of a defender, and then go onto ricochet (sp) into his arms, to be given as penalties in the future. Somehow, I wont hold my breath, though. SCANDALOUS DECISION.

Well played Liverpool, better side over 2 legs went through.

How much better are Liverpool with Gerrard? Seem's to lift the entire stadium, club etc. Bellamy looked great last night. LFC deserved to win the game. Dalglish crying was a tad cringeworthy and embarassing though. If they had won the league I'd understand, but getting through and probably winning a minor trophy isn't that great an achievment. Still not doing a great job there. Wasted alot of money and average in the league.

Maybe not in the eyes of a United fan but for clubs like Liverpool the League Cup is an important trophy. When your highest aspiration in August is to be behind three other teams nine months later, you look on the cups as your chance to reward your fans.
Oh, and miles better with Gerrard.

I'd much rather see the team I support win silverware then finish anywhere other than 1st in the league.

Quite simply, because old Twitcher is a media dahling. Always good for a quote, particularly for these vomit inducing Friday morning press conferences, all PL managers seem obliged to do, now.

Surely, Twitcher's solicitor should have advised him not to play the "thick, lovable, cockney rogue, who can't write a team sheet, send an e-mail, operate a computer". Doesn't he know you can't plead ignorance in a judicial court, particularly when he's "upto his neck in it".

A mate of mine has just spent a couple of days in the capital, and he said the media love-in of all things Spurs atm, is down-right embarrassing. You wouldn't guess London also have Arsenal and Chelsea.

Friends in the right places. Out of those three London clubs, only one of the managers is referred to by his first name by the scribes.
His complaint this week that he was being persecuted because he has a cockney accent was comedy gold.

Embarrassing stuff coming out about Redknapp, and this is the man they want as England manager? Can't read or write? Ha ha.

This first name/nickname for certain club's players is laughable in the media, and pundits in general

Scotty
Harry
Lamps
Stevie G
Giggsy/Scholsey

USE THEIR SURNAMES, JUST LIKE YOU DO FOR OTHER CLUBS

The Crown Topper was Sunday's City/Spurs game, when according to the buffoon Coleman, City have signed new players
JULIAN Lescott
DE Silva
Balochelli

It's almost as bad as listening to Ray Wilkins saying "My Word, Frank's on fire tonight, isn't he Mardin" or "Harry wont be pleased with that"

You lot are loving mental. A story can't get by without one of you harping on about some sort of conspiracy going on between the FA and the media. These things may happen but Christ some of you don't have go on about it lol.
