Yes, Liverpool are awful and their position in the league consolidates that. They have been awful purchases, play poor football and deserve to be where they are.
But using it's using the same logic. If Manchester City are not awful, then why are they not the one's that are 8 points clear, especially with the roster that they have?
I am sure that they will be overjoyed that they are currently in the position that they are in. I am sure Mancini's goal at the end of the season was to finish 2nd. Err, somehow I think not.
Manchester United have gone about their job, kept their heads down and not gotten involved in anything, and they will be deserved league champions at the end of it. City will not.
