Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.

And The Mail...

I think Wire Fanatic III's post, about 4 posts up from this, sums up my feelings on this whole sorry subject.

Searching around the web for some facts on tonights incident has been pretty hard going.

Reading Twitter tonight has been cringeworthy. It seems that people couldn't wait to stick the knife in, even with conflicting stories doing the rounds (see Saddened above). Now Liverpool FC, it's players and it's fans (ie. Me) are racist.

On the other hand, reading some of the Liverpool fan sites is just as cringeworthy for the opposite reason. Reading them, you'd think Liverpool, Kenny, Suarez and the rest of the players can do no wrong; and this is all the evil media's/MUFC's doing.

There's very little level headedness around when it comes to football. Such a shame.

Perhaps it's just best to keep my head down, close my eyes and stick my fingers in my ears until this horrid issue goes away.

Liverpool are such a scummy club. They would back their own players if they ate children.

The whole club and it's victim mentality must take some responsibility for this happening. If they had acted with even a shred of class or decency they would have severely reprimanded Suarez, publically denounced his actions and forced him to apologise fully weeks ago. He wouldn't have been banned for as long and it would have been the right reaction. The whole mard reaction to Suarez being found guilty and the character assassination of Evra was disgraceful. Football and society in general has enough problems with racism without leading clubs suggesting being racist is the action of a hero.

I'll bet there are a few decent Liverpool fans who are thoroughly ashamed of the club at the moment.

Can't argue with that Paul. I think Oliver Holt may have done his reputation some serious damage tonight. There seems to be a groundswell of ill feeling towards The Mirror and in particular him. As I've said, I really hope this is a huge misunderstanding and that the shout, if there was one, was indeed 'Manc ba***rd' as some Liverpool fans are claiming. The whole Suarez persecution is getting wearisome and it would be so nice to be able to go onto the BBC, Sporting Life or any other website and read about football again.

You come back with a childish insult because you can't form a reasonable response can you. Liverpool's response to the allegations, the accuser, the investigation and the verdict has been wrong. The 'We support Suarez' t-shirts were ill advised, as was the statement Liverpool made in response to the verdict and also the statement released by Suarez about him accepting the ban with the grace of someone who has done nothing wrong.

Liverpool should have handled it so differently and if they had, the incident wouldn't be the talking point it is now. The incident was a mistake by Suarez but they responded to it in a childish and egoistic manner. It was as if one of their partisan fans thought out every step of their response and each line of their public statements.

Liverpool as a club needs to look internally and ask some tough questions. They must realise their players can do wrong and that Suarez has in this case.

On Spanish radio that Malaga have offered €10m for Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios. Dortmund are looking for €12m.
I'm sure I read someone from the German club saying he wasn't for sale at any price only a couple of days ago.

What's he done now? I don't think I've ever seen a journalist - or a member of the media - that is as sickening as Oliver Holt. He has every vile trait going and he absolutely laps it up, he revels in how hated he is and he uses it to perfect his 'baiting' and his ability to avoid opinions opposing his.

I wish I could find the conversation, but he and Guillem Balague were having a debate on Twitter once, it's debatable whether it was a debate, it went a little like this: Balague made a point; Holt shot it down. Balague tried to explain/go into more detail; Holt shot it down and then turned the tables and started accusing Balague. Balague denies accusations; Holt persists and begins to ignore everything Balague says. Balague makes a neutral tweet saying he respects Holt and his different views; Holt adds another feather to his cap as he succeeds in dismissing someone, making his own opinion the most important and dismisses all in its way. He's the same on that Sunday crap where they have breakfast, I get to see about 10 minutes of that before work and it's usually him being a bell, trying to get a rise out of 'easy catches' like Paddy Barclay.

I won't even go on to his recent 'coverage' of events, but the fella is an absolute disgrace who typifies the utterly moronic stereotype that makes society so PC.

Bloody hell, even I'm bored of it now. Suarez racially abused Evra, Liverpool embarassed themselves as they always do, nothing is ever LFC's fault and the majority of their fans are ar'se licking, clueless biffs who tow the party line to make them a "bigger" fan. To be fair tio Suarez, at least he made an attempt at an apology.
