I'd be surprised if someone stumps up the money. Hudds won't accept any less than £5 mill I'd have thought and that would be a big gamble on a League 1 player.

| I'd say Spurs.

| 2157: Some news from tomorrow's newspapers to bring you here, as the Independent reckon that Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to let Wayne Rooney leave Manchester United due to a breakdown in their relationship. That would be massive.

Well I certainly hope he reports it to the referee who in turn should contact the club. Not surprising though, there are a fair few knuckle dragging neanderthals that frequent the Kop End. Seems someone hasn't learnt from the Suarez incident, if it WAS racial comments. There is no official word yet, so at the moment it is pure speculation.

From the man himself (or whoever runs his twitter account):
[iThe independent are talking absolute rubbish my future is with Manchester United and the club and I are totally commited to each other. The manager and I have no issues and anyone who says different don't know what they are talking about.[/i

As I said, it's only 'reported'. There's another story now coming out that something was 'allegedly' thrown at him.

At the moment there is quite a lot on twitter about it, especially from a couple of people who were sat very near where these "so called fans" were, and they say that they were drunk, swearing, but no racist comments were made. Apparently it was "you manc *******".
A BBC journalist has tweeted saying no fans arrested in relation to the Adeyemi issue and he spoke with police about it after the game.
EDIT: Confirmation seems to be that a coin was thrown at Adeyemi.

Sadly I've just seen that and was about to post;
[iEye witnesses reveal two Liverpool fans called Tom Adeyemi a "f***ing black b***ard". Both men were restrained and arrested.
Senior Liverpool figure - "We'll do everything in our power to investigate the matter and ensure appropriate action is taken." (The Mirror)[/i
I really, really hope this is all a misunderstanding.
It's sad that comments made by a few fans could taint the reputation of every respectable Liverpool fan in the crowd. Terrible timing, too.

| Liverpool are such a scummy club. They would back their own players if they ate children.
The whole club and it's victim mentality must take some responsibility for this happening. If they had acted with even a shred of class or decency they would have severely reprimanded Suarez, publically denounced his actions and forced him to apologise fully weeks ago. He wouldn't have been banned for as long and it would have been the right reaction. The whole mard reaction to Suarez being found guilty and the character assassination of Evra was disgraceful. Football and society in general has enough problems with racism without leading clubs suggesting being racist is the action of a hero.
I'll bet there are a few decent Liverpool fans who are thoroughly ashamed of the club at the moment.
