Just pointing out the hypocrisy of a QPR fan making out that Chelsea should sack Terry when QPR still have Barton on their books.

I have seen an Internet remark tonight that someone didn't know who was the biggest **** in English football, Terry or Barton. There's simply no comparison between the two. Anyone who says Terry is even close to being as bad as Barton is either retarded or called Barton.

It's closer than you think.

You can list all the things Barton has done but the fact that Terry slept with his best friends wife will trump them all. Only Giggs sleeping with his brothers wife is worse imo. You have to be one very very nasty piece of work to even contemplate that let alone do it.

She wasn't his wife. She wasn't his girlfriend. She was his ex-girlfriend. He was a Man City player, she was living in Surrey.

Were Terry and Bridge best friends? I've got no idea.

The main betrayal from Terry was towards his wife. But TBH I don't know a thing about their marriage and I don't know a thing about her.

The affair is something that both Terry and the woman deny.

And on the other end of the lurid stories, according to one paper Bridge was the 4th CFC player to be with her and Terry was the 5th.

At least you acknowledge that what Giggs did was worse. But the fallout from Giggs's affair has been practically zero, AFAICT.

I don't know if you like films. Most people do. My favourite film star has always been Schwarzenegger. He may not have been a great actor, but films like Predator, Total Recall and Terminator were fitted on him so well it didn't even begin to matter. I don't know if his autobiography will spill about this, but one of the previous biographies on him said that he had a special liking for doing the wives or girlfriends of friends, associates, people who he met in the street, rivals. I can't say I like that trait, it demeans him, the women, pretty much everyone involved and is just plain nasty, but superstars live such different and weird lives that ordinary people can't really relate. I don't like that rumour about Arnie, but at the end of the day WTF has it got to do with me, or anyone not involved?

If you've never contemplated doing a friend's wife or GF, then your friends must have some ugly partners.

I can understand Wayne Bridge hating John Terry. But I can't really understand why most of England has taken on Bridge's hatred as their own.

My CFC heroes (a quick list I'll compile now) are Kerry Dixon, Ken Bates, Roman Abramovich, Jose Mourinho, Arjen Robben, John Terry, and Didier Drogba.

Bates, RA, Mourinho, all left their wives for other women. I think Kerry was divorced, but I really don't know or care. No idea about Didier or Robben whatsoever. TBH their personal lives really are of no interest to me. I'm far more disappointed that Jose believes in god than I am about him dumping his Mrs.

Two of the most popular figures in English football are Bobby Moore and Bobby Robson. Moore left his wife and kids for an air stewardess and Robson supposedly took one of his affairs and did her in the centre circle. Is that going to make you cry if you see the Bobby Moore statue at Wembley, or are you going to send your virtual thanks to him for winning the World Cup for England?

Are RL players different? Only because they get less women throwing themselves at them and have less money to follow their whims. I know of two figures in RL who could easily have got themselves into Bobby Robson type headlines had RL had anything of a profile.

Maybe cheating with a friend's ex is so sensitive to you that it does trump the serial violence and general c***ish behaviour from Barton. I honestly can't see how though. Our world views must be so different that we'd never begin to understand each other.

Your views are different because it's John Terry. Just like all the Liverpool fans thought that Suarez was hard done too and were digging up past stories and tales of people who have done similar or preferably worse.

You'd defend John Terry if he tried to assassinate the Queen. I'm the same with Wigan so I know where you're coming from.

My point is, whether you think his affairs or alledged affairs are not that bad or aren't as bad as what other people have done, the bloke is a first class w@nker and everyone in the Country can see it except for Chelsea fans.

AFTR - regardless of how good looking my mates girlfriends or ex girlfriends are they're strictly off limits. You don't do that to a mate.

You put it down to club bias but I disagree. All through the Suarez case I was on Suarez's side, because of the reports coming through in the papers every day. It was only when reading the written report after the guilty verdict that I accepted his guilt.

But I have a huge dislike for LFC, often crossing over into hate at times. But even though I dislike, often hate, Liverpool, I'm not going to let that colour my verdict over something like a court case. Just like when Gerrard cracked in the equaliser against West Ham in the FA Cup final. I was disappointed that Liverpool hadn't lost, but there's still the respect for a fantastic goal at virtually the final whistle.

I've not really defended Terry too much over the Anton Ferdinand case. Simply because his excuse seemed lame at the time and the video suggested he'd done it. So I'm not going to say he hasn't racially abused Ferdinand because he might have just got very lucky in that the camera angles left doubt.

Over the personal stuff. Football players have screwed up sex lives anyway. You don't have "off limits" rules if half the side are passing a girl round. If you're getting involved in group sex it's a bit ridiculous to then claim normal boundaries apply.

I think the hatred towards Terry, and Cole as well, is mainly because of anti-CFC bias, but I don't think I allow my club bias to alter the way I see things. The facts have been that Terry possibly screwed an ex team mates ex gf and has been treated like a rapist, Giggs had an 8 year affair with his brother's wife and the rest of football virtually ignore it like they've been bought off. Same with Rio Ferdinand's race charge.

That doesn't have anything to do with club bias.

As a Liverpool fan, there is no team in football I hate as much as Man Utd, not even Everton. So if the above was true, we'd have been more prone to anti-Giggs bias than towards Terry.

Both have been great players for many years, but the crucial difference is that to everyone who doesn't support those teams, Giggs came across as a pretty decent bloke and one United player who I respected, and Terry comes across as a complete and utter c*ck.

If you bother to have read my post properly you will see it said "I wonder if Chelsea will sack John Terry ?" Just where did it say I said Chelsea should sack him ? I'll give you a clue.........I never said it.

You actually said: I bet Chelsea don't sack him.
Someone replied: Why should they?
You replied: That's obvious.

Giggs came across as a pretty decent bloke and one you respected, but he just happened to be screwing his brother's wife for 8 years.

Doesn't that just suggest that your judgement of him as a pretty decent bloke was completely incorrect? Surely all the people who, like you, thought that Giggs was a good guy, should have re-assessed their opinion of him when that news, along with the news about him and Imogen Thomas, and given him some abuse.

But instead it's "No, everyone makes mistakes. It's really none of my business."

It's not just a club bias issue, this is part of the Liverpool-Man Utd mutual masturbation ritual.

Just look at the response to Man Utd's most thuggish and gobby players have been: Roy Keane and Wayne Rooney. "Ooooooh, if you take away their aggressive side they simply won't be the same player." Paul Scholes after he blatantly chops down his third victim, "That Paul Scholes, he's just never learned how to tackle, ha ha ha."

Even Cantona's stupid and crazy assault of a supporter gets painted as him making a stand against a racist who abused his mother. WTFever.

I'm reminded of the story about the American journalist who was sitting outside a well known brothel, desperately hoping that the tip off was correct, that Nixon was a frequent visitor to the place. Nixon never showed, but sadly JFK was spotted a few times going there. So the reporter never filed the story, because what he wanted was his enemy to be in the paper doing that, not his man.

John Terry has definitely done some dumb 5hit in his career, of that there's no doubt. But oppo fans can **** off with their amplification of his wrongdoing while completely ignoring the wrongdoing of others.
