They're all officials, oh well. Mate just said it was offside/handball so, I dunno, who calls that?

We were lucky to get the win tonight the way we played and I thought Debrecini(sp?) were a half descent little team although if we had played anything near our best we could have scored a few more goals!!

Meh a wins a win

Really thought Liverpool would hit three or four tonight and in all fairness they could have done.
Good job Liverpoool got the weakest team in the group (and arguably competition) first up as I think if they'd have met a better team tonight that one goal wouldn't have been enough.
Three points in the bag though.

If it was flicked on he was blatantly offside. It's difficult to say whether it was flicked on though, even after a couple of replays.

The handball should have been flagged by the lino. Wouldn't have been any clearer if he'd caught the ball and held it up to him. Totally shocking from the lino.

Don't know if the ref's view was impeded, so can't blame him for it ATM

CBA with Google, I'll take your word for it. I just remember something been mentioned about two matches, I've slept / drank since then so can't remember exact details.

Well no appeal from City over the stamping incident then.

So the strikers rota for Sunday equals:-

OUT
Adebayor
Tevez
Robinho
Santa Cruz
Benjani

IN
Bellamy

Stevie Ireland very doubtful too.

I might as well rip my ticket up.

I have heard a wee rumour that Tevez might be playing. Not sure how true it is though.

It would be typical, I manage to get a ticket last minute, then that tw*t comes to score a winner.

Steady performance from Utd last night, just did the bare minimum really. I had hoped Rooney would not play at all but glad he did not play the full match.

I was just pleased to see Rooney play as a striker for United in an away European tie.

I thought Anderson and Valencia were our best players. Valencia got some really good balls in at times, I've been very impressed with him so far, a nice goal or two on Sunday would be very nice.

Just what the radio commentator said.

This froma BBC text:

"Alberto Aquilani cannot get fit fast enough for Liverpool. Lucas is absolutely the worst player I have seen in a red shirt since Mark Walters."

Actually Lucas albeit slowly is starting to win over the fans. His work rate was excellent. Last night he was one of the top 3 performers and some peoples choice as MOM, bigger names around him not performing.

The people criticising him are used to seeing Alonso playing long balls and slow the game down which isn't the Lucas style, prefering short bullet like passes.
