I see theres abit of uproar in the media about ferdinands omission.
This is what irritates me about the media sometimes. Hodgson is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
He takes ferdinand and it's ''oh my god, theres going to be conflict in the camp...... how can he select someone to go who won't be fit enough to handle x amount of high intensity games in x amount of days blah blah
Then you'd get ferguson playing merry hell saying ferdinand needs the rest.
He doesn't select him and it's ''oh my god how can someone of ferdinands quality and experience be left out?......is it because of the terry saga....it's not fair to leave him out for this...is it for footballing reasons blah blah''
It is what it is, let's get on with it.
The bottom line is, everyone is claiming expectations are low but if england don't get to the quarters and put up a good show and performance in the game hodgson will get well and truly raped by the media and it won't be pretty.
