Just got back from the trophy parade. FANTASTICHE. What an atmosphere.
Had to laugh at the Berties on the Eccles tram tonight. Some little Utd fan, probably about 10/11 years of age, got on near the Quays and started dishing out "44 years" etc etc. He got a bit of a gentle ribbing which is fair enough so I thought I'd give him a bit of moral support and told him "go on lad, you stick up for yourself". Some woman then came out with the classic, "I can't believe there are Utd fans on the tram when we're having our parade". Just exactly where should we be? Sorry love but I've seen more Citeh colours in the last 24 hours than I'd seen in my previous 34 years being brought up in Salford.
TBH, that just reinforced my opinions of (the majority of) City fans. I know a couple of decent ones but they're far outnumbered by w@nkers Oh & before I'm accused of being bitter I'll happily admit the best team won the title and yesterday was an amazing (if slightly depressing) day in British Football history. I never thought I'd see the day the drama of "that" Michael Thomas goal was beaten but yesterday blew that out of the water.
