It becomes a bit of cliche to say ''theres been a shift in power'' as soon as united don't win the title but city are a much bigger threat to united dominance than chelsea were because they have much smarter owners.

Abramovich is f*cking stupid when it comes to footballing decisions for chelsea.

Apart from getting rid of Jose, which was the dumbest decision in the history of football, what are his other dumb decisions? If he hadn't acted quickly to get rid of the mistake of appointing AVB then Chelsea wouldn't be in the CL final and holders of the FA Cup.

How do you know the Sheikh is smart? How do you know he is committed to continually spending cash to keep Citeh at the top when he can't even be ar5ed to go and see them play?

£50 million for Fernando Torres and several millions for Shevchenko are two that spring to mind.

We win the CL next week and who GAF that we overpaid for Torres?

We have overpaid for Torres, and he clearly doesn't suit us how we are set up, but even given those factors Torres has spectacularly underperformed. I don't think RA can be blamed for that.

Shevchenko was vitally important in us getting past Tottenham in the FA Cup and going on to win it.

But they were the vanity purchases of an owner who had the right to make them. Is the Sheikh above any vanity purchases?

Vastly overpaid for Torres but that's one of those things. He was excellent at Liverpool but it's not really clicked at Chelsea still but he's looking better than he has been as he's a damn good player. I am not sure if the Sheikh will splash the cash willy-nilly but I'd not be surprised if he does.

It'll be fascinating to see how City behave over transfers now. Does the title give them the confidence and see them go after the elite class of player? I don't think they've really ever signed a genuinely elite player as yet (Aguero, Hart, Kompany etc are in that class now but were not at big clubs when they signed them). Will they get a Ronaldo or a Messi type player?

I listened to City FM this afternoon and they were speculating that Skrtel was left out by Liverpool today as he's signing for City and also that City are going to top any United bid for Leighton Baines. If I were Mancini I'd be looking to get rid of Mario and Carlos and pick up a striker to replace those two (One is enough as it's not like either really contribute anything positive) a midfielder and a centre back as good as the starting players for backup. City would have won the league months ago if they had a centre back to cover Kompany's trip to Africa.

Any player they go after will have their price inflated.

Looking forward to seeing the Cabaye/Ball Boy/Cahill incidents on Match of the Day. Won't get much time, but if as rumoured Cabaye pushed a ball boy into his seat, then he should expect a ban to go with Tim Cahill's.

Cahill didn't really do anything, when I heard he'd been sent off for attacking Cabaye after the final whistle I was expecting more to happen. I'd love to know what caused it though. It seemed to start with a challenge by Cahill on a Newcastle player that Cabaye took exception to. I can't see where Cabaye pushing a ball boy came from, but he did seem to be really wound up all game and was constantly sniping at Pienaar. It did just seem to be frustration as Pienaar was making look rather average.

I'd love to know what went on, as Cahill's not the sort to lose his head without reason. Seems Cabaye has appologised for causing Cahill's sending off, so fair play to him for that.

Amazing how many folk are suddenly lifelong Manchester City fans. Half expecting to see my nan wearing a light blue scarf tomorrow.
Wonder if the City fans who left at 2-1 have realised yet. Wasn't nice to see QPR launch the ball towards the corner flag without a man in the City half at 3-2.
Credit where it's due, City have been the best team over the course of the season. How we managed to push City so close is still baffling me and to think, had we turned up against Wigan Athletic and not switched off against Everton, but all eyes on next season now.

I didn't watch the City game, but there are loads of people complaining on Facebook that City won because QPR had heard the Bolton result and started celebrating. Any truth in that? When they split screened it on Sky at the end it showed QPR basically refusing to kick off and lumping it into the corner. Seems a strange end.
