I missed the game tonight, what did Mr Bale do that was so outstanding? I've always like him, very much a rich man's Leighton Baines for me.

I've just read Rooney's statement. Whoever wrote that is a genius. They knew he had thoroughly ruined his relationship with the fans of the club he'll have to be with until at least January, so they release a statement blaming the Glaziers and the lack of spending on players and try to turn it into a positive for him.

If anything I can see Rooney being even more popular with the fans and them banging the door down for new signings.

Last time I saw MOTD 2, he'd been replaced by that skinny Northern Irish lad.

He got paid a boat load to join ITV, to do footy and whatever programme took over from GMTV, its about to get cancelled because of crap ratings... I wonder why

That N Irish lad (whatever hes called) used to do the NFL coverage for channel 5 so its probably a huge step up TBF
