I don't understand how teams who are so big can concede so many tries every week - especially seeing as you're limited to 6 tackles, which is the worst part of the sport for me. As far as I'm concerned I don't see how every game isn't 0-0 with that rule.
Tries typically come from repeat sets or a speculative but targeted kick. Most tries are scored with a set of 6 beginning in the opponents half, the difference to RU is there being 10 metre offside line if a set begins in the opponents half and the attack can carry the ball up to the offside line by the 4th phase they would be in clear striking distance of the try line. Now I find it strange you should be confused why so many tries are scored off so few phases, it not common for a RU team to keep possession for more than 6 phases. Clean breaks and turnover ball are both sports are the single biggest contributor for tries being scored. So a better indication would be measuring clean breaks against tries scored.
And it's your sport. And that's why I butt out of things I know nothing about.
You mean like your comment about Gloucester fans ?
[/quote]cj doesn't even make a quiet entrance, he just jumps in with things that if he said in court he'd probably get charged for. "Killing off our game" is quite an accusation. And it isn't 1885 anymore, so he really needs to move on.

You can have debate with CJ without receiving aggressive ad hominem attacks. CJ has his own experiences which have coloured his opinions in a slightly unbalanced way but it is easy to have a civil discussion with him many on this forum would hope you could behave in a similar manner.

A great tweet from @philkinsella this morning:
7 SL games in Rd 8 -1 draw -3 won by a 2 point margin and 1 by 6- lets flag up how close the comp is rather than just a defeat for one side.
Sounds like an advert for introducing a losing bonus point, fabulous to have so many close games.
