I never suggested replacing Sam with McGouldrick. But I do think he is a very under rated player who could do a very good job for us.

He can play at 1, 3, 4, 6 or 13.

I think he a better fullback or centre than we have at present.

If we signed RM (as a FB), that would push Pat back onto the wing and then Ainscough out the team.

If we signed him to be 13, Lockers would be out.

...signed him as a 3/4 Carmont/Bailey are out

...signed him as a 6, Sam is out.

All players he would push out who IMO don't deserve to lose thier place.

Signing McGoldrick is the same as when we signed Dennis Moran, big fish in a small pond. We need to be looking to sign Lockyer. We should have signed Dobson instead of Smith.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lockyer about to sign a new deal at Brisbane, which will keep him there until he retires?

Would rather see McGoldrick than him but I think Karl Pryce deserves his chance there before we go signing ANOTHER (IMO) average Aussie

That would be fantastic for a year or 2 IMO

Would generate more money from tickets and merchandise etc

Lockyer wouldn't only give us his playing ability but his leadership and experience qualities

Not to mention, That would be a priceless experience for Sam
