Didn't get me as excited as either the Chase or Soward ones did.

At superleague level Green and Smith will be more then adequate but as ever how they perform will depend on how the pack goes. I'd like to see us bring in a big, aggressive prop now to help us get on top in these big matches. I'd have like to have seen Sam Moa here but we'll have to wait and see on that one.

A halfback and a prop is the minimum we need. In an ideal world i'd also like to see a replacement for Carmont as the more I watch him the more I fear his exit.

Thornley and Gelling have potential but i'd like to see them kept as centre/wing back up for now.

I'm a huge fan of Kaufusi. His defence is mean and very aggressive. I would love to see him in our pack. That shot on Eorl Crabtree amplifies what I'm talking about. He signed a three-year deal with London back in 2011 so we'd have to pay a fee but you get what you pay for & he would be a top signing.

Another very aggressive player who I would love to see at Wigan. Rumours of him possibly joining Hull FC & if there's a possibility of him coming to Super League I would be all over it.

In a new forward for next year I would like to see someone with lots of controlled aggression like a Kaufusi or a Galloway. Someone who can really belt people in defence and intimidate the opposition without giving away silly penalties.
That Warrington pack bullied us & had far more aggression than we did. Morley, Carvell, Hill, Westwood, Waterhouse, Harrison etc big strong powerful lads & Mossop, Prescott, Lima, Lauaki, Hansen etc aren't really known for belting people in defence and were out muscled (albeit compounded more by our errors and penalties). But with Lima leaving and probably Fielden as well as the absence of senior players like Leuluai, Finch and Carmont we're going to have a young team next year with a young pack and I would just like to see in our recruitment someone who can be a 'pack leader' if you like and really lead by example in not taking a backwards step like a Quentin Pongia or a Craig Smith. A tough competitor but not a nutcase who will concede penalties. If that means paying a fee & getting more assertive in the market then so be it.

Sam Moa is going back to Australia - he stated that he wouldnt leave Hull for another Super League side. Shame, cracking prop that came over as a 'project'

Didn't Solomona say something different when we inquired about him, saying he would never leave Wakefield, a season later he signed for Warrington, Money talks, rarely anyone walks away

Solomona probably wouldn't leave Wakefield to sign for Wigan as he didn't want to move out of Yorkshire.

There probably isn't anything in the rumour but as it stands no NRL club has announced him so who knows.

They seem to be on the ball in Oz when it comes to announcing their signings as well.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Hull kr Blake Green Rugby League Highlights

Don't always like highlights videos as it can make average players look as good as Benji Marshall.

What that video does show is that he succesfully takes on the line alot and Hull KR have scored many points from his running game.
He takes plenty of risks with offloads which may not stick, but this is part of our style in trying to take opportunities.
He has a good long and short kicking game and he has great pace.

The video however does not show how good his decision making is, how good his defence is, or how many errors he makes or stupid passes he throws out.

The video shows huge potential for someone still young at 25, he should be coming into his prime soon. Lets hope he hits it while at Wigan. (if he comes ;) )

I do like how many highlights there are of him in Hull derbys, along with games against Wire, Saints and Leeds... he is clearly a player who loves to save his best moments for big games like those. Compare that to Rangi Chase whose highlights would all be at the Jungle tearing appart poor sides.

Not getting too excited though because A. we might not have signed him and B. his decision making could just be awful. We don't watch him enough to know.

Looks promising but Oden's right. Going off that video Green looks like Trent Barrett and Hull KR look a world champion side.

Some classy dummies and steps though, in theory should compliment Smith well.
